MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia marks its SIXTH YEAR!

Save the date, reshuffle your appointments and start planning your trip to Sunway Resort City, Kuala Lumpur, because it is the place to be – come August! MTV, a unit of Viacom Inc, has officially announced that MTV World Stage Malaysia is back for the sixth-year running. Recorded live for global telecast, the one-night-only outdoor concert is set to take place at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon on Saturday, 16 August 2014. MTV Asia also announced award-winning Billboard Hot 100 hip hop artist, singer-songwriter and record producer, B.o.B  to its line-up of performers for MTV World Stage Malaysia 2014. The show, which will mark its 6th year in Malaysia, currently includes homegrown international singer-songwriter, Yuna; and Universal Music Group International’s first K-pop idol group, Boys Republic. MTV VJs Alan and Hanli will again be hosting this year’s concert.
MTV World Stage is a global series that bring multi-genre talents with global relevance, telecast to an audience in over 550 million households. Recorded ‘live’ at the most exclusive gigs, world renowned music festivals and unique concert locations from around the world, the series is the ‘front row seat’ for music lovers to experience the biggest artists on the globe without leaving the comfort of their sofas. MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia is part of this platform that delivers the MTV brand experience not only on the ground with MTV fans in Malaysia, but with a global airing in 154 countries across MTV Networks. The Malaysia show is also MTV’s first originally-produced MTV World Stage event globally, which started in 2009

Entry Terms & Conditions
Entry to MTV World Stage Malaysia 2014 is subject to the following terms and conditions:
  1. Passes are strictly not for sale; each pass admits one person only. No re-entry after admission
  2. For safety reasons, minimum entry height: 1.3m
  3. Pass holder below 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult (above 21 years old) who shall also have a pass to the Event. Photo ID checks conducted at the door
  4. This is a free-standing, rain or shine event
  5. Strictly Prohibited Items (security checks conducted at the door):
    1. All recording devices (cameras, videocams, tablets, laptops); but smartphones allowed.
    2. Dangerous objects (e.g. helmets, umbrellas, sharp objects, or as determined by MTV); but short umbrellas allowed.
    3. Alcohol, controlled substances, outside food & drinks
  6. MTV reserves right to refuse entry to any person at its discretion
  7. MTV may use pass holder’s image or likeness in any recorded video/photograph
  8. Event line-up may be subject to changes. MTV may postpone, cancel or suspend the Event due to any cause beyond reasonable control
  9. Pass holder voluntarily assumes all risks, danger and liabilities incidental to the Event; MTV and its event partners shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss or damage howsoever caused
  10. Entry subject to Sunway Lagoon venue conditions
  11. Drugs and other illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Violators will be referred to the authorities.
