On 18th December 2017, SHINee’s Jonghyun has passed away at the tender age of 27. He was found unconscious in a residential hotel allegedly due to suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning. The news of his death has brought grief throughout the K-pop community and international attention. SM Entertainment has released an official statement confirming his untimely death and has asked the public to refrain from making assumptions based on rumors in respect to his family.
Jonghyun embodies a one of a kind Kpop Idol, he speaks his mind out and burns with passion for music. In addition to crafting a beautiful song or melody, he’s a humanitarian and has voiced out his support for LGBTQ+ rights.
